60 years of Performing by Decatur Civic Chorus

60th Anniversary Celebrations

Sunday, May 18, 2008, 3:00 P.M the Decatur Civic Chorus will present a very special Spring Concert at First Baptist Church of Decatur, 308 Clairemont Ave, Decatur, GA.

The Spring Concert will feature signature pieces from our 60 years of performing, a media presentation of the history of the Chorus, and a “Reunion Chorus” made up of former and current members.

There will be a reception immediately following the concert in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church.

Georgia’s Governor, Sonny Perdue, issued a Commendation recognizing the worldwide accomplishments of the Decatur Civic Chorus over it’s 60 years of existence. Click here to open and click on image to magnify the type.

Other Events – Spring 2008

The Chorus will perform an annual benefit concert at Lawrenceville Road UMC for the church’s Missions Program on Sunday, May 4.

The Chorus is singing in the National Memorial Day Concert at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C. on May 25th. We will be representing Georgia as we sing concerts around our nation’s capitol.
