The Decatur Civic Chorus has been singing beautiful music in Decatur, Georgia since 1949. We have more than 50 members ranging from 13 to 94 years old. We sing because we love it, and we have a lot of fun while we’re doing it.
We sing a wide variety of choral music…classical, modern, secular, spiritual (typically Christian), Broadway and more. Our accompanist is the very talented Dr. Soo Jin Kim.
DCC is delighted to welcome a new chorus director, Kathryn Hartgrove. Kathryn wears many hats in the world of musical performance as a voice professor, opera director and Director of Worship Arts at Decatur First Baptist Church. We are excited about her leadership!
